Send it back!

Two almost 2 weeks ago we bought a King size bed. Hurray size - boo type. I haven’t felt like I’ve hit full REM the whole time. Each night is a little different but generally the bed runs hot, my back is sore in the morning, and I wake up feeling mentally tired. I’m glad we have the option to return. Now to pick another bed. :p

Texts from last night

Friend: U up mommas?

Me 30mins later:Yep

Friend: Got my answer to my ? But thank you for replying
It was question bout tummy time

me: :) no problem. Spent the last 20 mins washing bottles, dropping the steaming hot sterilizer water on my leg, battling a cockroach, and watching River decide that the now dead roach was first someone she liked, then was sleeping, and finally was icky.

Friend: Lmao and thats why were parents ;-)

A true Monday?

What the heck is up with today? I feel completely defeated from work and once again feel as though there really is someone gunning for me and using management to do it but they can only find little nit picky things to get me on.

And my kids are having a monday too! Poor Bennett has been crying all morning in pain from some serious teething to the point where I had to take him home. Joe checked on River and apparently she was crying about naptime when normally she’s a model student and Bennett is known as the happy baby.

Today sucks.

My weekend

I finally had an awesome weekend… At the end of the worst vacation ever lol

Friday night I went with Melissa and her cousin Jess to the Lifehouse concert at the Red Rock pool. They were amazing live. Near the end it lightly rained on us during a song but it was like a perfectly timed mist of cool air. After the concert we walked right in to Yard House and were seated immediately. And this time my food wasn’t too salty! Overall, awesome night.

Saturday Joe set up the xbox360 kinect he bought and we ended up playing it all day!

The adventure game is awesome. We plugged leaks in our underwater glass viewing box, broke some wooden boards in a cool version of handball, guided our raft over raging rapids, and dodged/jumped/ducked our way thru a conveyor obstacle course.

Then we played the sports game where we won our ping pong championship, beat our volleyball competitors, and bowled a few frames. Then we competed against each other in track and field. I won the sprint and hurdle events while Joe won the discus and javelin competitions.

Saturday night we went to moms to celebrate Heathers birthday. Mom made baked mac n cheese and some sort of roast that all the meat eaters loved. By 9pm Joe was asleep on the floor :D

This morning Bennett woke me up early but thankfully snoozed after his bottle. By 9:30 everyone was up and I was building my new shoe rack. Later in the morning, we played with various demo games on the kinect. I tried a dance game I want and River was dancing with me. Joe tested the kinect animals game where you get to raise a jungle cat. River chose the leopard and she loved it.

I was so sore this morning (still am) and went for a massage at 4pm. Mom got me a membership with them for my birthday so technically I have 1 a month although I rarely get the time. Good thing the hours roll over.

I grabbed Famous Daves for dinner and Madhatter cupcakes by request for desert. We will be eating the cupcakes soon. ;-)

Overall, this weekend has been the only real vacation part of my vacation and I’m thankful that I got this weekend with my family. :)

Kinect - our newest purchase

Joe and I were at Frys on Sunday and had the opportunity to play with the xbox360 kinect system. It was awesome. We debated getting it because of cost. Then Joe found out he could order it thru Dell - so he did that.

It is awesome. We have spent most of today playing on it. I was sweating away and didn’t want to stop! :D now I can’t wait to try more games.

You don’t have to hold anything and it tracks your movements very well. I would actually recommend this to people and that’s saying a lot from me.

Wahoo!!!

Bennett pulled himself up to stand today! And after about 5 minutes fell straight back… Poor little guy! I’m so impressed :D

Bennetts first carrots!

My family!

Bennett is sitting up, pushing himself into sitting up, and starting to crawl!

He is a happy little chatter box and loves toys that make noise. His smiles make me so happy!

Today he is going to try baby food for the first time :)

River is full of entertainment. She loves swimming at grandmas and she sang happy birthday to GG on the phone this week when I told her to say hi cause it was GGs birthday. I didn’t even know she knew that song!

She has me change her in to dresses so she can twirl and she is really in to princesses. But she’s also very rough and tumble.

River is also stubborn and hilarious. While eating, if she doesn’t like something she will spit it out and say “I don’t like it, it’s delicious!” I told her delicious means it tastes good… She said no. I guess she has her mind made up!
